Keira Heu-Jwyn Chang was a triple-major in Ballet, Astrophysics, and Philosophy at University of Utah before pursuing Cultural and Arts Management at American University in Washington, DC. After graduation, Chang worked at DC’s Dance Place and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. She then moved to NY to work at City Center Theater followed by a two-year stint in venture capital. Moving to San Francisco, she served as Executive Director of Yannis Adoniou’s KUNST-STOFF for several years before becoming a full-time freelance photographer, graphic designer, and web developer. Chang first encountered Weare on assignment photographing a performance and was struck by the duality of fierceness and vulnerability in Weare’s work. On returning to NY in 2010, she became Weare’s Executive Director and continues to serve as the company’s principal photographer.
