In 2017, Kate Weare Company embarked on an unprecedented collaboration fusing Argentine tango with contemporary dance with our partners Union Tanguera, who are based in Lyon, France. This new work, Sin Salida, will combine dancers from both companies and feature an original score to be played live by renowned pianst, Gustavo Beytelmann.
Our collaboration has had the support of residencies both in the US and in France, but our work isn't finished yet!
As we veer again into unexplored artistic territory we need to continue to feel accompanied by your belief in what we do. Make a donation today to help us continue to shed light on human experience through startling movement invention and superb performance for another 10 years!
We’re delighted that our shows sell out early, but we want to make sure you’re there! Make a gift of $100 or more and you’ll have access to the best seats in the house 3 days before they go on sale to the public.
HOTHOUSE allows artists and audiences to talk about the making and interpreting of dance in informal, intimate art spaces all over NYC!
Join Artistic Director Kate Weare for a hand-picked sampler of NY dance performances throughout the year. An intimate group of guests attend the show with Kate and then (over cocktails!) share impressions and get Kate's insider view of the dance.
Become an Individual Co-commissioner of a new KWCo work and receive commissioning credit in all future performances of the dance you've helped create!
